Wood Dowels

PacWest Lumber manufactures constant diameter wood dowels at several facilities in British Columbia and the U.S. primarily for the agricultural, equestrian and log home markets. Wood dowels are available in Lodgepole Pine, White Spruce and Douglas Fir. They are available either untreated or pressure-treated with CCA, ACQ, or other treatments on request. Available in diameters from 2-inch thru 7-inch and lengths from 5′ through 20′, wood dowels are normally sawn from standing dead timber although green wood is also available. Some of the common applications for wood dowels are:

• Equestrian jump rails
• Fence posts and rails
• Log home handrails
• Tree props
• Vineyard posts

Wood dowels are also available in a smooth sanded form for furniture and high end exposed applications. Pacwest normally packages wood dowels in easy to handle square packages ready for treating or job site delivery.
